Kurtis Downer, 16 professional dancer/actor/ male model is new to the modeling industry. However, Entertainment is in his genetics. Kurtis Downer, born to a Puerto Rican/Dominican mother, and his well known Jamaican father, DJ Mikey Mike. Kurtis father is very well known in the Jamaican community. Kurtis father took over Jamaica radio airwaves and parties with dance-hall music in the early 90’s.
Being surrounded by music all of his life it was inevitable that Kurtis would develop into a talented professional dancer and DJ in training. Kurtis specializes in both hip hop and Jamaican dancing. Recently the teen sensation decided he want to make a career in the entertainment industry. His close family friend Ayecia Nugent signed on as his manager and signed him on to her talent management company 1st Million Management. Kurtis has done commercial voice over work for radio! Kurtis also broke into the film industry this summer.
Kurtis played a dance extra in the feature film Step up Four. He recently ripped the runway for Miami Fashion Designer Expo in their Breast cancer awareness fashion show “Pink hits the Runway”. Kurtis has been involved with Relay for Life since the 6th grade and has been very involved with this charity!
