Her desire to illuminate the confidence and persistence in others is the inspiration for creating companies devoted to Bringing Dreams to Reality.Beginning her fashion career in 1990 as a teen model, she attended prestigious modeling institutes such as John Casablancas Career Center and Barbizon School of Modeling completing her training with remarkable success. Karine Melissa was immediately offered a teaching position at Barbizon School of Modeling. She learned how to leverage her strengths, proven track record, and positive communication style to secure a promotion in management as the Lead Modeling Instructor overseeing all execution of the modeling curriculum, fashion productions, and student graduations all within a years time. As she grew with the company, her sense of creativity, passion for entrepreneurship, and knowledge in the fashion industry grew as well.In 1999, Karine Melissa confidently moved forward to begin working within her community as a Fashion Show Coordinator, Modeling Consultant, and Fashion Designer. Each FDE season highlights a great cause. The Fall shows in October honors Breast Cancer Awareness month with PINK Hits the Runway where models are dressed in all PINK and PINK roses are handed out to all survivors and charity staff. Susan G. Komen For the Cure Miami|Ftl Affiliate has been the primary beneficiary. Breast cancer survivors walk the runway with such joy! The FDE team also coordinated a dynamic photo shoot featuring breast cancer survivor Melody Saleh, owner of Gem Couture, and Tiffany Richardson from Tyra Banks Americas Next Top Model along with top South Florida models.The 2010 Spring FDE Florida Let the Runway Meet the Cause for Kids in Distress. Kidswithin the community hit the runway in yellow in honor of the Kids in Distress logo. Disney Radio performer and Universal Recording artist Josiah Rea performed in a tribute to the organization along with Arrivederci the Band. The FDE owners took a tour of the Kids in Distress campus and fell in love with its purpose in the community. "Our kids have a safe haven to run to. I can trust that Kids in Distress does everything they can to keep all of our kids safe from the horror of abuse and neglect", says FDE co-founder Karine Melissa.Spring 2011, LRMC focused on education and made the Ovetown Youth Center;A Program of Alonzo Mourning Charities the primary beneficiary for the season.The Fashion Industry came together and donated school supplies to the kids..
